Choosing your pavement

The type of traffic is one criteria to follow when choosing your pavement. As specified in our instructions for assembly, the pavement can be assembled on a sand bed as well as a concrete blanket.

  1. for alleys and courtyards with pedestrian access, we recommend you the pavement with a thickness of 2.2 and 2.8 cm. The assembly of this pavement is executed only on a concrete blanket bed.
  2. the pavement with thickness between 2.8 and 3.5 cm can be assembled on alleys or courtyards of medium traffic. Depending on the weight it must sustain as well as the support layer, the assembly is executed on a bed of sand or bed of dry blanket. For weights up tp 3.5t  the assembly can be done on a bed of sand and for weights up to 7 t is recommended the assembly on concrete blanket.
  3. the pavings with thickness between 4.8cm - 5.5cm can sustain weights up to 7t on sand and up to 10t on the concrete blanket layer.
  4. the pavings with thickness of 7 cm can sustain weights up to 20t if assembled on sand and up to 40t if assembled on concrete blanket layer.

Another criteria is the aesthetic look and the style you desire to give to the place to be paved.
